THOSE WHO CAN: TEACH!

Yep, you heard it right. Those who can – they TEACH! Even if it's not officially through a formal lesson. The really great performers are happy and excited about sharing what they have learned with others. And, anything else you've heard about professional performers who are also teachers is WRONG.***

In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week, we're featuring one of my favorite performers AND teachers, Tommy Harkenrider!

Tommy Harkenrider ofwww.TommyHarkenriderGuitar.com provides great insight into why teaching has helped his performance career and vice versa! He is a freelance musician originally from Las Vegas now living in Orange County, California. He specializes in performing and teaching American roots music.  He has performed and toured with Southern California's most influential blues artists. Including James Harman, Candye Kane, Lynwood Slim, Phil Alvin, Rick Holmstrom, Jeff Turmes, Junior Watson, Kid Ramos, Big J Mcneely, Ray Campi, Big Sandy, and Canada's Paul Pigat. As a teacher he instruct students locally and world-wide via Skype.

Tommy is a crazy amazing musician and his advice is golden.
