Writing copy for your marketing and sales can be time-consuming and frustrating. Copywriting frameworks for business are a great way to save time, but which one should you choose? There are many different frameworks out there, but these five will help you write better copy in less time.

These copywriting formulas are easy to use so you can write high converting copy, and you'll see how they will help you to LOVE writing… even if you were once allergic to writing like I was.

The PAS Copywriting Frameworks for Business

This is one of my favorite copywriting frameworks! It works when I want to write copy for a blog post, sales page, email, video introduction, video sales letter, landing page, social media marketing copy, video scripts, and more.

PAS It stands for Problem, Agitate, Solve. I love this framework because it's so simple to use, yet it's create for creating incredibly effective copy.

You can also find it in our favorite AI Copywriting Tool, Jasper: www.Molly.live/wow

Here's how to use the PAS Framework:

You start by identifying the problem your prospect is facing. Start with their existing pain. Then, you agitate that problem by pointing out all of the negative consequences they'll experience if they don't solve it. Finally, you provide a solution. The real trick to making this work for your business is to pick a solution that is, tied to your business objective.

We use this ALL THE TIME. For video intros, video scripts and videos sales letters, sales pages, emails, ads, you name it.

You may have even heard it in a famous, now very old, commercial…

Have you fallen and you can't get up?

Think about it – that line has been in our head forever. Even if you view this painful scene as a joke now… that stickiness is what I call successful copywriting!

Such a great example!

Life Alert nailed the PAS formula and you can too!

The AIDA Copywriting Frameworks for Business

The AIDA framework is another great one that is easy to use! It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.

To use this framework, you start by grabbing your reader's attention with a compelling headline or opening sentence.

It's great for landing pages, sales letters, and really awesome for long form sales letters because it pulls the reader in and ups the reader desire.

You then continue to peak their interest by providing more information about what you have to offer. The key here is to keep them curious and wanting to know more!

Once you have their attention and interest, you need to stoke the fire of desire by showing them how your product or service will benefit them.

And finally, you call them to action! Wrap it up with a call to action that tells them exactly what they need to do next in order to get what they want.

The Soap Opera Sequence Copywriting Framework

This is a great framework to use if you want to write a long-form sales letter or email.

It's called the Soap Opera Sequence because it's modeled after the way soap operas keep viewers engaged week after week.

The Soap Opera Sequence works by introducing your reader to a character with a problem, and then following their story as they encounter various challenges and obstacles.

As the story progresses, your reader will begin to feel invested in the outcome and will be eager to see how it all turns out.

The key to making this framework work is to make sure that your story is relatable and that your reader can see themselves in the main character.

And… hint hint… it's great it YOU are the main character.

I love to use this framework because it allows us to bring in the human element into our brand.

My friend Ryan Lee gave a really great tip if you don't know what to write about… Ask yourself the following three questions.

  1. What did you do yesterday?
  2. What are you doing today?
  3. What are you planning to do tomorrow?

LOLOL – SO GOOD!

Another tip I love with this is to add a PS with a CTA or a hint at what is coming in your next email.

Mr. Rogers Style Conversation

This is a technique I learned from Todd Brown and I use it EVERY DAY.

I took a copywriting course with him in 2016 and he basically ripped my copy to shreds because it was all about me. He taught me to speak to one person, and make it ABOUT your client not about you.

Then, while watching the Mr. Roger Documentary… I learned that he feels the secret to the success of his show was that he spoke to one person.

OMG!

That’s so true!

He didn’t say, Hi everybody in the neighborhood… he said Hi Neighbor.

One Person.

So first… speak like Mr. Rogers.

Then… after you write anything… go back and count how many times you said the word “I.”

Can you flip it around and turn it into a YOU statement?

Like this…

Version A: All about You The Entrepreneur

OMG I Had the craziest day! Let me tell you about it. I flipped when this happened.

Version B: All about your ideal client

OMG, have you ever had a day that was so crazy you couldn’t believe it? Well that’s what just happened to me. You are going to flip when you hear this story.

See how version B brings you in? Makes you a part of the story? It’s awesome. And so powerful.
